Copyright and Licensing Policy
IJICES respects the intellectual property rights of authors and is committed to the lawful distribution and reuse of scholarly work.
Copyright ownership
Copyright ownership and author rights are governed by the journal's stated publication terms. The applicable copyright holder must be identified clearly in the published article and associated publication information.
Open licence
Each published article must display its applicable Creative Commons licence or another clearly identified open licence. The licence must specify the rights granted to readers and the conditions governing reuse, distribution, adaptation, and attribution.
Where a Creative Commons licence applies, the journal will provide a direct link to the official licence text. Authors and readers should consult the licence attached to the individual article for the precise terms of reuse.
Author rights
Authors retain any rights not expressly transferred or licensed under the journal's publication terms. The journal's licensing arrangements must not contradict the stated open-access policy.
Third-party material
Authors are responsible for identifying material for which they do not hold the necessary rights and obtaining permission when required. Any applicable third-party copyright restrictions must be acknowledged in the article.
Website content
The copyright and usage terms for the journal website, branding, and other website materials are separate from those applicable to individual scholarly articles.
IJICES will ensure that copyright and licensing information is readily accessible and consistent across the journal website, article landing pages, and published full-text files.
