Authorship and Contributorship Policy

IJICES requires authorship to reflect genuine scholarly contributions and accountability for the published work.

Criteria for Authorship

An author should have made a substantial intellectual contribution to the research, such as its conception or design, the collection or analysis of data, the development of methods, or the interpretation of results. Authors should participate in drafting the manuscript or critically revising it, approve the final version, and accept responsibility for the integrity of their contributions.

Individuals who provide limited technical assistance, routine supervision, funding, or administrative support without meeting the authorship criteria should be acknowledged appropriately rather than listed as authors solely because of their position or assistance.

Author Order and Corresponding Author

The authors must agree on the order of authorship before submission. The corresponding author is responsible for communicating with the journal and confirming that all listed authors have approved the manuscript and its submission.

Changes to Authorship

Requests to add, remove, or reorder authors after submission must be justified in writing and approved by all affected authors. The journal may suspend editorial processing while the request is evaluated.

Research Integrity

Authors must disclose relevant funding, conflicts of interest, ethical approvals, and other required declarations. They must cooperate with reasonable requests for clarification or supporting evidence.

Unethical Authorship

Gift authorship, ghost authorship, fabricated contributor identities, and the omission of eligible contributors are unacceptable. Suspected violations may be investigated under the journal's publication-ethics procedures.
